Staple Fashion Picks, Summer '19

7 July 2019

Hi, and welcome back!

I'm currently sat on my bed, sore from a week of trekking through the Peak District for my DofE award (the most painful aspect being that I have to do it all again in a couple of week's time!). I was sat thinking about what kid of post I wanted to write about next, before I figured that a fashion-related post was long overdue at this stage. With this in mind, I've decided to do a roundup of all of my staple fashion items at the moment!

As of late, I've seriously been into the broderie anglaise trend, which is something that ASOS has been doing so well! I've recently bought a couple of ASOS's own pieces, both white, which can be found here and here. Normally, I'd wear either top with my washed black, Primark skinny jeans (which really have exceeded all expectations!) and my platform trainers, or my black Vans.

I've also been obsessed with my leopard print midi skirt, shown in the image above. Midi skirts are pieces that I never could have seen myself wearing previously, so I was definitely surprised by how much I liked this skirt. Again, I'd normally wear this skirt with my platform trainers, along with my black cropped t-shirt, also from New Look, or my green knitted jumper from H&M if its a bit cooler.

If you've know me, you'll also probably be aware of the fact that I never really used to be one for dresses, however I've slowly discovered by love for which over the past couple of months. The two dresses that I'm sporting the most at the moment are my ASOS Design black smock dress and my QED London wrap dress. There's just something about dresses at the moment that has me wearing them all the time!

In terms of sportswear (on the few occasions I do make it to the gym!), I've been loving combining my Primark sports leggings with a New Look vest and my Nike sports bra. I'm not somebody who likes to spend too much on sportswear and have found that brands such as Primark and New Look definitely do the job for me.

On that note, I think I've sufficiently covered all bases! While we're on the subject, if you're ever wanting to find the links to my outfits elsewhere, check out my 21 Buttons account, username @anyaalexandra.

Lots of love,
