What's In My Makeup Bag?

19 March 2016

Wow, another week has flown by!

This week has been exceptionally busy for me. I, along with many other people, attended the Big Bang National Finals in Birmingham, held at the NEC. On another note, I watched Sport Relief 2016 last night, and it really opened my eyes to see what people who live in poorer countries go through. I'm very fortunate to even be writing this blog post right now, as it's written on a computer, something people in several countries are unable to afford.

On another note, back to the blog post! This week, I decided to share the makeup I use almost on a daily basis, and keep in my main makeup bag and drawers on my dressing table. Enjoy!

Beauty blender - Primark
Well, isn't this just a little gem? For a long time, I have been using brushes to apply concealer and foundation. Until I received this for Christmas. I think I'll always use beauty blenders from now on. They make concealer/foundation/BB cream blend so much better and give me a more natural look.

Baby Lips in 'Peach Kiss' - Maybelline
I am IN LOVE with this. The texture is so creamy and sheer. It gives off just the right amount of pigmentation, and the smell is amazing! Thank you to Maybelline for this perfectly-moisturising lip balm.

Hair bobbles - Boots
These are quite literally my go-to hair bobbles. I love that they don't have any metal, and that they aren't too large or too small. I keep these in my makeup bag so I can tie my hair back before applying makeup.

BB Cream - Miss Sporty
A recent purchase, I think I've finally found my go-to BB cream! I've realised that BB cream is far better for me than foundation, as I don't like very heavy makeup, but I still want some coverage, and this gives me just that! I would definitely recommend this. If you want coverage but don't want heavy coverage, then BB cream is the thing for you!

Eyebrow Gel/Waterproof Mascara - Natural Collection, Boots
I always want my eyebrows to stay in place as long as possible, with no stray hairs. I used to have a proper eyebrow gel, but I've realised that you can just use waterproof mascara to get the same result! Natural Collection is definitely one of my favourite makeup brands, in terms of affordability, so now I'll always use their waterproof mascara as a substitute eyebrow gel.

Mattifying Powder - Essence
As you can see from the picture this is a well used product. I love the way it sets, and it actually gives a slight coverage, which is an added bonus. A very affordable product, would definitely recommend it.

Concealer - Natural Collection, Boots

The price of this was great, however I think I bought it in one shade too dark, unfortunately. Very affordable, but I might have to buy a new one in a lighter shade...

Cremesheen Lipstick in 'Modesty' - MAC
I can honestly say that this is the nicest lip colour I have ever used. I love how smooth it is on the lips and the smell it gives off. At £15.50, this is a little more on the pricey side, although not too expensive, so you may want to buy a similar colour from a slightly cheaper brand. However, it was definitely worth me paying a little bit more.

'Volume Million Lashes: Feline' Mascara - L'Oreal
I like this a lot. A recent purchase from a more expensive brand, I love the shape of the brush and the way it matches the shape of my lash line.

'Perfect Brows' Eyebrow Kit - Tanya Burr Cosmetics
I'm. In. Love. This is the most perfect eyebrow kit for me. It has very natural colours inside; a dark brown, a lighter brown and an even lighter brown. It even includes a highlighter, a brush and a pair of tweezers. It's very affordable at £6.99, as well. I use this frequently and would, without a shadow of a doubt, recommend it to anyone.

Makeup Brushes (Left-Right): Eyeshadow brush - The Body Shop, Eye Colour brush - Liz Earle, Blusher brush - The Body Shop, Sculpting brush - Real Techniques, Eyeshadow brush - Precision Beauty

And that's that! I hope you enjoyed exploring and reading about the products I keep in my main makeup bag. Comment down below if you own or would like to try any of these products.
