Hello, 2017!

"And so the adventure begins"

Happy New Year!🎉

It doesn't seem like 5 minutes ago that I said this in 2016. Before I get on with the post, I just wanted to say a couple of things. First of all, I'm not making any kind of resolutions for the year, like I did last year. It's simply because I just don't stick to them. Obviously, I do have things that I want to work on, but let's call them goals, as opposed to resolutions. Personally, I think this sounds a lot less pressurising.

On this subject, I think that the best possible goals you could make are the ones that are realistic and achievable. This way, when the end of the year comes around, you won't feel as if you haven't accomplished as many as you'd hoped.

My goals for the year...

• To have more confidence in myself
• Not to worry so much about small, irrelevant things (although this is getting better)
• If I find something I like in a shop, not to feel so guilty if I buy it (!)
• To post a lot more on this blog

On another note – New Year's Eve itself! This time round, we spent the NY period in Germany. It's such a pretty place – if you haven't been, I'd highly recommend it. We've never spent New Year abroad before, and so it was nice to have a bit of a change. Despite it being pretty chilly in Germany, it was a really enjoyable getaway.

I always feel as if the beginning of the year is a step back into reality, after being in a bubble of festivity and parties during Christmas and New Year. For me, this is bittersweet because, although it's nice to have a fresh start again, I'll definitely miss all things Christmas!

I hope you have an amazing 2017, full of opportunities and memories!
