Did I stick to my New Year goals?

18 December 2017

As some of you might be aware, if you have been a reader for a while, in January, I started off the year by setting myself some goals. These were, to quote:

'To have more confidence in myself'
'Not to worry so much about small, irrelevant things (although this is getting better)'
'If I find something I like in a shop, not to feel so guilty if I buy it (!)'
'To post a lot more on this blog'

And with the year coming to a swift end, I had to ask myself: have I achieved any of these things? Well, the first one I think I have definitely achieved, both in terms of getting to know my fashion sense, and the way in which I approach situations. It's taken me a long time to get to grips with what suits me best and what I feel most confident wearing.

With the second goal, I feel as if I'm making improvements; some things I used to dwell on, I don't do so as much anymore. I think I've just learnt to look at the bigger picture a bit more: will I still be worrying about this in a week's time? Of course, there are so many things I worry about, but I'm just trying to eliminate the irrelevant stuff.

The next goal on my list seems slightly less relevant, but for me it is something that I've really been working on. I can be pretty frugal whenever it comes to spending money (although I'm not opposed to buying something I really love) but I've come to realise that, in the long run, I think I might thank myself for this!

When blogging, I always try and stick to posting a certain number of times each month, however I think I've come to accept that there will be months when there might only be one or two posts, whereas in others I might have 6. In terms of content, over the year you may have noticed that I've gradually started to veer away from the beauty side of blogging, as I'm more into fashion and lifestyle-related content.

Well, it goes without saying that this might just be my last post of 2017! As some of you might know, I'm spending Christmas away with my family, so stay tuned for that post in the New Year.

I hope you all have a great Christmas and New Year!

Love,
