Completing My Summer Wardrobe

17 July 2016

I went to Altrincham yesterday and thought I'd share with you some of the things I bought. By 'some', I mean the things that didn't have to go back to the store. Because I didn't try anything on, it was a bit of a 'hit and miss' shopping experience, but I got some really good deals. I always seem to forget how good H&M is for decent-quality clothes at such reasonable prices.

Of course, with Autumn fashions coming into stores, that means the big Summer sales have begun. Which was absolutely perfect because it meant I could get some good bargains.

The first item I bought was this sleeveless turtleneck top. I'd seen other people wearing this kind of top before and thought I'd give it a whirl. I like how versatile it is, but I would say that it might make more of an appearance in my Autumn wardrobe, although you never know. The colour is really subtle and goes with most things.

Next, we have a lace-backed grey long-sleeved top. This stood out to me as one of those tops you can wear a lot. I love the back of this one and the authentic shade of grey. It's a little bit different to the kind of top I'd usually wear. The sleeves are 3/4 length which makes this top more wearable.

Another top I bought, which is probably my favourite clothing item in this post, is a pinstripe sleeveless blouse. I saw that this particular pattern was becoming quite trendy and I like it a lot, so when I discovered this I knew I had to buy it. This, again, is another very versatile piece and goes well with skirts, shorts and jeans.

At this point, I looked through my basket in H&M and wasn't seeing much colour, so I decided that was the route I would go down next. I picked up this really nice Aztec-printed top. I love wearing floaty tops, especially on holiday, and when I saw this I instantly wanted to wear it. When I tried it on, however, I wasn't exactly 100% sure about it, but I grew to like it a lot.

While waiting in the surprisingly short queue at the till, I spotted this packet of very pretty earrings. I feel like you get very good value for money when you buy these multipacks, and I got 9 pairs for only £3.99, small medium and large of each design. My favourite earrings from this pack are the roses.

I love wearing watches, and how they can add a very practical but pretty touch to an outfit. While I was in Accessorize, I discovered the prettiest watch I've ever seen. Obviously watches like that can be pretty expensive. But this particular watch was reduced and I couldn't possibly pass up the opportunity to buy one before they sold out. It is such a gorgeous watch in my favourite colour, rose gold.

I hope you enjoyed this little clothing roundup. If you haven't shopped in the Altrincham town centre before and are looking for somewhere a little less busy than Manchester Arndale or the Trafford Centre, you should give it a try because it is so amazing there.
